In 1979, Ronald L. Lane put the finishing touches on his account of the 2nd Ranger Battalion’s D-Day combat action on Omaha Beach. He had finally completed his five year dream. However, when he shopped around for a publisher, there were none interested. Ron wasn’t going to let a small hurdle like that stop him. He was a graduate of West Point. He was an airborne ranger. He had served two tours in Vietnam while earning his Combat Infantryman’s Badge. He accomplished all this while supporting a family of five children with a sixth on the way. So he started his own publishing company and named it Ranger Associates, Inc.

Over twenty-five years have passed since Ron took those first steps. In that time, Ranger has grown from a small company -- where Ron processed orders out of his garage -- to producing over a million dollars in sales over the last few years. Ron passed away in 1996, but left a legacy to his three sons. They have vowed not just to carry it on, but to help it grow and flourish, in the same spirit that Ron originally founded the company.
